Skylor & Becca {Promposal}

I must say this was definitely an experience I will never forget and i'm sure these two young adults won't either.  

Becca had no clue what was about to go down as we went back into the air for another round of hog & coyote hunting.  All she knew when I stepped into the front seat next to the pilot was I would be there to photograph the animals and land of Skylor's family ranch in South Texas.  From a photography standpoint it was a little tough as I had the sun beaming through the windshield and the entire time I had to be ready for when I needed to turn the camera around and get her reaction so I did my best and feel it came out fantastic.  

While hunting from the helicopter, Skylor's family was back at the ranch house placing a promposal banner (made by South Texas Trophies in Devine) on the ridge so when we came back around Becca would be able to see it.  The 20 minute ride consisted mostly of searching for hogs or coyotes for Skylor to shoot and I remember at one point Becca shouted "there's a coyote" and the pilot whipped that helicopter around to get into a great position for Skylor.  After a couple of shots he nailed it and then we were back to hunting.  I took some shots of the land with mostly deer and cattle and a few blinds/feeders.  

As we approached the ranch house on our return the pilot hovered over the house awaiting her reaction. She was mostly distracted by me taking some photos of her that she didn't recognize the 8x16 foot banner on the ground that said "Hey Beautiful.  Prom?"   Skylor asked her, "well?" and she asked "what?"  I think we all laughed except her and then she looked down again and noticed the banner.  She was in complete shock with a huge smile on her face!   

They will be attending The Winston School Prom in San Antonio.  A huge shout out to the pilot from Veracity Aviation our of Seguin Texas as he fought through the wind today. (awesome pilot) 

I'm not one for writing blogs but definitely wanted to express my appreciation to the parents for giving me this opportunity to photograph this event inside of a helicopter :)   They were even nice enough to allow my wife Leslie to ride back to the airport. It was amazing & we can officially mark that off of our bucket list now.  

We hope Skylor and Becca enjoy their beautiful night at prom and have a safe, fun and exciting time.
